KAYTRANADA is consistent when creating music that makes your body move. From his remixes to original songs, there is no secret the Hatian-Canadian DJ and producer is musical force. You may not know his name, but you know his sound.

“BUBBA”, KAYTRANADA’S beautifully developed sophomore album has taken the internet by storm. And while new listeners may be wondering “Who is this?”, his unique sound remains captivating.

 His first album 99.9%, featured jovial, upbeat melodies and deep bass. Where the album lacked in lyricism, it compensated in infectious beats you lost yourself to.

  “BUBBA” has a seemingly smoother, more mature approach.

An expected development from the 27 year old producer. From the song titles to the transitions, this project feels deliberate and complete.

 Not only are the beats completely hypnotizing, the collaborations were made in heaven. KAYTRANDA vocal features from Iman Omari, SiR, Estelle and Masgeo; This album is a complete musical powerhouse.

 Tracks like “Scared To Death” is the classic KAYTRANADA electronic synth we love, “What You Need” gives us Sunday cleaning vibes while “Vex Oh” has a heavy Caribbean influence with a Soca/Afrobeat feel.  

 The three year wait for this project has been completely worth the wait. Summer 2020 is going to be one to remember especially with a few on these tracks on rotation.
